Dhikr and the science of knowledge at the heart of a spiritual and scholarly program.

Beyond its festive events and equestrian traditions, the Moussem Moulay Abdellah Amghar affirms its spiritual, scholarly, and cultural mission through a rich program centered on the Holy Quran, *dhikr* (remembrance of God), *madih nabawi* (prophetic praise), and the transmission of religious knowledge. Developed by the Local Council of Ulema of El Jadida and the Provincial Delegation for Islamic Affairs, this program combines religious classes, scholarly lectures, Quranic recitations, and *samaâ* and *madih* sessions. It features activities tailored to the Moussem’s diverse audiences, including women, children, visitors, and members of the Moroccan diaspora. Religious activities began at the Moulay Abdellah Amghar Mosque with the recitation of a *hizb* (portion) of the Holy Quran, followed by *madih nabawi* chants that uphold a spiritual tradition deeply rooted in Moroccan heritage. The program also includes gatherings dedicated to invoking blessings upon the Prophet—peace and blessings be upon him—as well as *dhikr* sessions focused on the Divine Name "Al-Latif," featuring the Moulay Abdellah troupe. The transmission of knowledge plays a central role in the program, with various religious classes and scholarly lectures addressing topics such as "the fruits of acts of devotion through Prophetic guidance" and "love for the Prophet and its behavioral manifestations." *Samaâ* and *madih* evenings are also highlights of the program, notably an event titled "The Night of Communion," performed by the El Jadida troupe and featuring several tributes. The event’s scholarly dimension encompasses religious, national, social, and educational themes through lectures addressing topics such as "The *Imarat Al-Mouminine* (Commandery of the Faithful) and its commitment to religious constants and the preservation of security and peace within the Cherifian Kingdom," the religious, social, economic, and educational rules governing religious *Moussems*, and "The Good Life: Foundations and Components in Light of the Prophetic Sunnah." The program also features a commemorative morning session marking the anniversary of the recovery of the Oued Eddahab province, an outreach meeting, religious lessons, a Quranic evening, and individual Holy Quran recitation sessions held between the Maghrib and Isha prayers. A morning session dedicated specifically to children rounds out the program, reflecting a commitment to passing on knowledge and spiritual values to younger generations. In parallel, several initiatives are being rolled out for *Moussem* visitors. Notably, the Local Council of Ulema is distributing the 17th issue of the "Religious Insights" booklet to visitors and members of the Moroccan community living abroad. A religious consultation service is also available throughout the *Moussem*, staffed by the president and members of the Local Council of Ulema, male and female preachers, and various Ulema from the province. Activities and competitions organized by the Women and Family Affairs Unit—with the participation of male and female preachers—complement these efforts in guidance, education, and awareness-raising. Through this programming, the Moulay Abdellah Amghar *Moussem* reaffirms a dimension that transcends mere festivity, establishing itself as a space for *dhikr* (remembrance of God), knowledge, transmission, and reflection—where spirituality, religious instruction, and Moroccan intangible heritage converge at the heart of this centuries-old event in the El Jadida province.
